What’s in YOUR refrigerator?
A challenge: post your list, and a photo if you have it. Leave it here as a comment or leave a link to a page on your own blog. So, what’s in your fridge?
Here’s what’s in mine (odd combination that it is)…. evaluation, list and photo below.
EVALUATION: Pretty ordinary food/beverage for us… but, I’m pretty impressed that the fridge is essentially full right now. It’s not always this way. But, we’re trying not to eat out (since I’m watching what I eat and counting calories) and trying to keep lots of fruits and veg on hand for me and for Ken; for Gregory we need mucho protein; for Miss Muffet we need a nice balance of all these things, plus milk.
On with the list.
top: cheese and ham “roll ups” for Mr. Growing-Like-A-Weed-and- Needs-Protein, champagne tomatoes, a pound of shrimp cleaned and prepped (this week’s one protein, 3 meals), leftover tri-color rotini, sliced strawberries, kalamata olives, 2/3 bottle of Perrier, a bunch of green onions with white bulbs, a bottle of cabernet, and a whole bunch of condiments like BBQ, pickles, stone ground mustard and such
next row down: mini fresh mozzarella balls, Greek yogurt, spinach and arugula, a dozen eggs.
cheese drawer: mozzarella, rosemary cheddar, a chocolate bar from the UP, walnuts
below cheese: a mango, about a cup of blueberries, one cucumber, beef tenderloin (for specialty sandwiches for a summer supper with friends tomorrow evening), ground pork for mini pork patties with radish tzatziki, another dozen egg
wide space: tonight’s supper (in the blue roaster) Chicken Cordon Bleu, the veg tray with carrots, celery, green onion, tomatoes, and radishes, a can of spray cream, a cantaloupe, a jar of garlic, sour cream, a lemon a bottle of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ, and a bottle of syrup
drawers: 2 red peppers, 2 Anaheim peppers, 1 pablano pepper, and 2 lbs. of bacon
bottom drawer: 3 Boddingtons, one lonely not completely dry piece of multigrain bread, and my Dad’s printer ink
Freezer (highlights): stock, roladen, ragu, popsicles, edamame, chicken, 3 kinds of ice cream for a new ice cream dessert I want to try.
Peeking out from the door: a bunch of fresh basil (oh, how I wish I could grow this….), a bottle of Kahlua, a bottle of Riesling, milk.
Too funny!
~Enjoy!
